During a press conference in Karachi, PML-N leader Rafique, alongside MQM-P Convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, emphasized the necessity of electoral adjustment to address the nation’s economic and political challenges. The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) jointly expressed their commitment on Sunday to prioritize judicial reforms.
Rafique stated, “The alliance between the PML-N and MQM-P will turn out to be fruitful for the country. The seat adjustment is necessary ahead of the elections,” clarifying that no discussions regarding seat adjustment had taken place between the two parties.
Siddiqui, underscoring the need to uphold the country’s constitution, acknowledged the multitude of issues facing the nation and opposed political vendettas. Stressing the importance of strengthening democracy, Siddiqui stated, “We [MQM-P, PML-N] are going to enter the partnership that will lead the country towards prosperity.”
Highlighting the electoral alliance’s focus, Rafique added, “The manifesto will also concentrate on the system of justice, judicial reforms, and bureaucratic reforms. We don’t accept the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) law.”
