A bomb blast targeting a police vehicle in Dera Ismail Khan city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday resulted in the death of five individuals. A police officer informed the media that the explosion occurred near the patrolling vehicle in the city, with 21 people sustaining injuries during the incident. On October 31, an unidentified group of militants attacked a police camp in Dera Ismail Khan, resulting in the martyrdom of a police officer.
That same day, an IED explosion in South Waziristan district claimed the lives of two soldiers. The increase in terrorist attacks in the country over the past few months can be attributed to the TTP’s withdrawal from a ceasefire agreement with the government in November last year.
